The heir to our 2007 vintage. This wine starts with a bouquet of rich plum and wild berries. It has a concentrated flavor profile of black fruit with a hint of chocolate and brown spice. With notes that are complex, full-bodied and expansive on the palate, it ends with firm tannins and a dash of espresso. This wine is balanced, with a supple texture and approachable grip.

Vintage Notes:

Abundant spring rains abated winter drought concerns and a relatively temperate growing season produced ideal growing conditions and excellent fruit quality. Our winemaking team found 2009 to be a terrific harvest. The grapes came in without a rush, ripened thoroughly and showed good fruit quality. We were excited about the wine’s intensity and clarity of flavors, aromas, acids and tannins.
